Pepperoni Pizza Burgers
1 lb ground beef
1 (14 ounce) jar pizza sauce
1/4 white onion, diced
1/4 green pepper, diced
1 packet crushed red pepper from your local pizza place
1/2 tsp garlic salt, or to taste
1/2 tsp seasoned salt, or to taste
16 pizza-style pepperoni slices
4 slices mozzerella cheese
4 hamburger buns
Heat an outdoor grill to medium heat and lightly oil the grate.
In a medium mixing bowl, knead beef with egg, pizza sauce, onion and peppers until meat is evenly mixed with all.
Press meat mixture into 4 beef patties, approx 1/4 lb a piece. Season patties with garlic salt and seasoned salt.
Grill burgers to desired doneness, about 5 minutes on each side for medium-well.
Place 4 pepperoni slices on each patty, then add a slice of cheese over the pepperoni on each patty. Place buns cut side down on the grill.
Let burgers and buns remain on grill until cheese has melted and buns are toasted, about two minutes.
