Wild Rice Hot Dish

1 1/4 cup wild rice
3 cups water
2 teaspoons salt
1 can of mushrooms
1 onion, chopped
2 tablespoons butter
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme

Wash rice. Combine rice, water and salt in a 2 quart saucepan. Cover. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes. Drain mushrooms, reserving liquid. Brown the mushrooms and onion in butter. Stir mushrooms, onion, mushroom liquid and thyme into rice. Bake an additional 25 minutes.
